West Poplar Street from South Third to South Second avenues will be closed for emergency water line repairs from 7 p.m. Tuesday through 10 a.m. Wednesday. Emergency vehicles will not have access.
WALLA WALLA — State and local police will close off Poplar Street in the area of its confluence with Alder Street west to Colville Street as well as Palouse Street from Alder to Birch Street on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. to further investigate an alleged alcohol related collision from Aug. 17.
Rose Street will be closed between Ninth Avenue and 10th Avenue from 8 p.m. on Thursday to 6 a.m. on Friday to tie in the new water main into the existing main near Ninth Avenue. Vehicles will be detoured around the block via Main Street. Emergency vehicles will not be allowed.
Stevens Street between Stone Creek and Lodge Drive will be closed Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. so a private contractor can install a water main for the Sunset Lodge Planned Unit Development. Emergency vehicles will not be able to get through.
West Poplar Street from Eighth to Ninth avenues will be closed 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday for water service repair. Emergency vehicles will not have access. Detour routes will be in place.
Sturm Avenue from Bryant Avenue to Pleasant Street will be closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. this week through Thursday and from Monday through Thursday next week for asphalt overlay work. Emergency vehicles will not be allowed.
Bryant Avenue from Home Avenue to Lowell Drive will be closed for water service repair 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. Emergency vehicles will not have access. Detour routes will be in place.
Rose Street between Ninth and 10th avenues will be closed Thursday starting at 8 p.m. with an anticipated re-opening before 6 a.m. on Friday. Traffic will be detoured around the block via Main Street. The contractor for the Rose Street project will be installing a water main.
On Thursday, Wellington Avenue from Portland to Walla Walla avenues will be closed 8 a.m- 5 p.m. for the repair of a water line. Emergency vehicles will not have access. Detours will be in place.
