The city will close Alder Street in Walla Walla from Second to Fourth avenues and from Second Avenue to Palouse Street from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday to allow a contractor to lower utilities in preparation for asphalt grinding as part of the downtown Alder Street improvement project. Local access and emergency vehicles will be allowed and detours will be in place, but drivers are urged to use alternative routes.
Parish Street between Garden Drive and Garrison Street will be closed all day Wednesday for an emergency private sewer service repair. Emergency vehicles will not have access.
Truman Street will be closed 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday from Wilson to Division streets for sewer utility work. Emergency vehicles will not have access.
Craig Street between Howard and Chandler streets will be closed all day Friday starting at 7 a.m. for an emergency sewer service repair by a private contractor. Emergency vehicles will not have access.
The north end of Hair Road from Lower Monumental Road south about 2,000 feet will be closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Dec. 23. Bonneville Power Administration crews will be pulling cable through new towers in the vicinity. No emergency services or local traffic will have access during work hours. The road will open daily after 5 p.m. and on the weekends.
