Newell Street between Madison and Division streets will be closed 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday for sewer line repair work. Emergency vehicles will have access.
The intersection of Rose Street and Ninth Avenue will be operated by flaggers starting at 5 a.m. Tuesday while the top layer of asphalt in the intersection is ground off. The grinding will continue on Rose Street between Ninth and Fifth avenues, which will be closed Tuesday and as necessary on Wednesday. Detours will be in place via Main Street. Local traffic and emergency vehicles will be allowed. After the grinding, work will continue in replacing Rose Street water, sewer and stormwater utilities.
The 10th Street and College Avenue intersection remains completely closed to all traffic, including local traffic and emergency response vehicles.
As part of the College Place’s College Avenue-Rose Street reconstruction project, the 10th Street and College Avenue intersection will be closed to all traffic Aug. 31 to allow placement of a new Garrison Creek culvert across College Avenue. The work will also affect College Avenue from Eighth to 12th streets. With the exception of the 10th Street intersection, local traffic will be allowed access in this area as safety and construction allows. The Rose Street/Fifth Avenue intersection will be closed starting 7 a.m. Monday for about two weeks for renovation to include water, sewer and stormwater utilities, sidewalks and sidewalk ramps, and curb, gutter and street improvements.
As part of a major street reconstruction in College Place, the 10th Street and College Avenue intersection has been closed to all traffic this week through Aug. 31 for construction of new Garrison Creek culvert under College Avenue.
Valencia Street from Isaacs Avenue to Alvarado Terrace will be closed Tuesday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. so a private contractor can repair a sewer line repair. Emergency vehicles will not have access.
