Start an online subscription

Before creating an online subscription, you will need an account on our website. If you do not have one, please follow the directions here for setting one up.

If you already have a username, go to this page and log in to purchase a subscription. You can also go directly to our subscription purchase page if you are already logged in.




Start a print subscription

Our delivery area includes ZIP codes 97810, 97813, 97862, 97886 in Oregon; and 99323, 99324, 99328, 99329, 99347, 99348, 99359, 99360, 99361, 99362, 99363 in Washington.

If you're within our area, just fill out this form to get a new subscription started. Otherwise, you can sign up for a mail subscription here. If you have questions or need assistance, our circulation department can be reached at circulation@wwub.com or 509-525-3301.

Register your print subscription for free online access

Print subscribers get free, unlimited access to our website on all devices. You'll need to register your print subscription before you can access the website.


1. Start by creating an online account here. Enter a username, and select "Create new online account," then enter a password and email address.


2. You will be sent an activation email. Click on the link in the email to activate your account, and you will be taken to an activation confirmation page.


3. Once your account has been successfully activated, log in to your account here or by following the link for print subscribers on the activation confirmation page.


4. Once you log in, you will be prompted to enter your account information. If you do not have this information, call the circulation department at 509-525-3301 for assistance.

The form includes our contact information and mailing address for your convenience. If you download a form, be sure to save the form to your computer and open it with Adobe Acrobat or Preview to fill out and save it when you're done. Notice of rate changes will be published in advance in the Union-Bulletin.

Online accounts and subscriptions

Create an online account

An online account is required to purchase an online subscription. You can also create an account without subscribing, which allows you to comment on articles and submit events to our events calendar. Without buying an online subscription, you will only be able to access five free articles per month.


To set up an online account, please go here and follow the steps below.

1. Enter a username and password and click "sign up."

2. You will be sent an activation email. Click on the link in the email to activate your account, and you will be taken to an activation confirmation page.


3. Once your account has been successfully activated, log in to your account here or by following the link on the activation confirmation page.



Start an online subscription

If you already have a username for our website, please go here to purchase a subscription. Otherwise, please register for a username here and follow the directions for activating your account. Once your account is activated and you have logged in, you will be directed to a link to our subscription purchase page. You can also access the page by clicking here.



Manage your account

To change the password for your online account, visit our change password page. You can change your profile information, such as name and email address, here.



Comment on an article

All of our articles include a comment box at the bottom of the text. To comment, simply sign in to your account, find the article you want to comment on and enter a comment in the box.

Except for very new users, our comments are not moderated, so your comment should appear immediately after you post it. For new users, your first few comments must be approved by a moderator before they will appear. This is to help us prevent spam accounts and comments. If you do not see your comments posted in a timely fashion, please contact Managing Editor Alasdair Stewart at alasdairstewart@wwub.com.

Comment writers should refrain from personal attacks and offensive remarks, and comments should be free of any personally identifiable information, such as e-mail addresses, mailing addresses and phone numbers. If you believe a comment is inappropriate, you can bring it to our attention by clicking the "Remove" link under the comment.

Advertising

Place a classified ad

Our classified ad department uses a system called Ad Perfect which allows you to place ads online. To get started, head to our classifieds page.

You'll be asked to select a category for the ad, such as lost items or rooms for rent. Once a category is selected, you'll be automatically taken to a page with a list of ad options. Select the package you want and you'll be able to enter the content of the ad and pay online.

News and events

Letters to the Editor

The Walla Walla Union-Bulletin welcomes letters to the editor on subjects of general interest.

Email letters to letters@wwub.com. Include the letter in the body of the email. Do not send an attachment.

Our address is P.O. Box 1358, Walla Walla, WA 99362.

Letters must be less than 400 words in length.

The writer’s name and city will be published, but to be considered for publication, the letters must include the full address of the writer and a daytime telephone number. The address and phone number will be used for verification only.

All letters are subject to condensation and will be edited for spelling, grammar, libel, taste, factuality and style. Letters should not contain personal attacks and should be written to address our readers, not other letter writers or public officials.

Thank you letters and poetry are not accepted.

It is our intent to publish all letters that conform to our policies.

If you do not see your letter printed in a timely manner, usually within a week, contact editorial page editor Rick Eskil at 509-526-8309, rickeskil@wwub.com or letters@wwub.com.

No more than one letter per week from any individual will be published and no more than 15 letters a year will be accepted.

Get your event covered

If you're organizing an event and would like to have it listed in our calendar, featured in the weekly Marquee section or covered by a reporter, please see our event coverage page for contact information, deadlines and more tips. If you just want an event listed in our online and print calendars, you can submit it here.

Submit a photo

As a community newspaper, we regularly use photos submitted by our readers. Submitted photos can be especially helpful for events that take place far from our coverage area (such as conferences or awards ceremonies). They can also help us illustrate a preview article by showing photos from the same event in a previous year.

Please take a look at our guide to submitting photos for specific information about file size and type, and other recommendations for submitted photos.

Our Walla Walla Valley Weekly, as well as special sections in our daily and Sunday editions, regularly feature columns from community members. Columns are often recurring and focus on a specific topic, such as astronomy, health, fitness, science, law, business management, education, local history, arts and entertainment, weather, wine and more. Columnists are unpaid.

Freelance writing and photography work

We sometimes work with freelance writers and photographers. We don’t always have openings, but feel free to get in touch with an editor to see if we’re taking new freelancers. Freelance positions are paid per assignment.

Write for Lifestyles magazine
