Pasta to benefit M-F man suffering from liver cancer

MILTON-FREEWATER -- Oodles of noodles will be dished out on behalf of Milton-Freewater resident Darin Speakman on Sunday.

Speakman, 44, has been an employee of Kilmer's Auto Parts for many years. He is at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for treatment of liver cancer and its complications.

Proceeds from the spaghetti feed will go toward travel and other expenses. It's scheduled for 4 p.m. at Pioneer Posse Grounds, off Highway 11 by Bordertown Feed and Supply.

Tickets are $10, or $25 per family. An account for Richman has been set up at Community Bank; donations can be made at any branch.
