MILTON-FREEWATER -- Wanda May Roley, 82, of 120 Elzora St., and formerly of Athena, died Oct. 24, 2009, at the Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Milton-Freewater. At her request no public services will be held. Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main St., Milton-Freewater, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Roley was born on May 5, 1927, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Robert and Gladys Mahan Roley. She moved to Oklahoma City, Okla. and later attended Pomona High School in Ontario, Calif. After graduating she married Enrico Richard Sepe, Sr. and the couple lived in Ontario for a time. Later they divorced and she moved to Visalia, Calif. and then to Louisiana before settling in Athena in 2001 and finally to Milton-Freewater. She married Leo Deatherage and he preceded her in death in 1988.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and listening to country music. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in California.
She is survived by two sons, Ric Sepe, Jr. of Athena and Ron Sepe of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Candace Franks of Illinois, and Valraie Nolte of Lancaster, Calif.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Roley.
