As is customary, new tractors and old mix at the Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days. The display of vintage farm gear and brand spanking new rigs shows — if nothing else — how far comfort has come from the old days to the new.
The display sits in a shady area between the rodeo arena and the Pepsi stage and off one of the avenues of food, making the mini outdoor museum a five-senses experience, from the sounds of competition to eclectic music, mixed with the smells of frying food and barbecue and the feel of grass underfoot. That leaves taste, but it is up to you to bring along a snack.
