WALLA WALLA - The College of Idaho's women's basketball team built a 40-23 halftime lead Saturday night and coasted to a 70-37 victory over Walla Walla University in the opening session of the fourth annual Kim Evanger Raney Memorial Classic on George Ball Court at Sherwood Center.

The Wolves are now 1-11.

"They won the Cascade Conference last year," WWU coach Bill Clancy said. "They're well disciplined. They push the ball up. They have a lot of shooters. They're a pretty impressive team."

Nicke Parks led WWU with 16 points in the game.

Clancy also praised the effort of Chelsea Sims, who shared team rebounding honors with Parks with seven each. "She had a heck of a game," Clancy said. "Defensively, she gets after it."
