WALLA WALLA -- Authorities today continued to investigate the cause of a fire Sunday morning fire which heavily damaged a garage.
The fire was reported at 7:45 a.m. at 1860 Celestia Drive, said Deputy Fire Chief Bob Yancey. Walla Walla Fire Department units responded along with Walla Walla County Fire District No. 4.
Firefighters reported the garage had flames coming from it and the fire was extending to the house. The fire was quickly extinguished with minimal damage to the residence. The home's occupants had gotten out before firefighters arrived and no injuries were reported.
Damage to the home was estimated at $40,000, Yancey said.
