ATHENA — A near quadruple-double for Dallas Reich and 29 steals by the Weston-McEwen defense led the TigerScots to an 89-36 Blue Mountain Conference boys basketball victory over Irrigon here Friday night.

Reich scored 15 points, pulled down nine rebounds, dished out seven assists and had seven steals.

"We played a variety defenses and we mixed it up," W-M coach Brian Pickard said. "We went from a man to a zone. We really got the chance to work on our different defenses, which is good."

The TigerScots’ Owen Hegdal almost had a triple-double with 12 points, seven rebounds and seven steals.

"We jumped on them early and got a lot of kids into the game," Pickard said. "We got a chance to play all 12 kids tonight. They all got into the scoring column, and they all had good energy. Every one of them was ready and played with high energy."

The TigerScots hit five 3-pointers on the night from five different players.
