HELIX -- Three Helix Grizzly girls basketball players scored in double figures and they beat the Arlington Honkers, 45-28, in Big Sky Conference Eastern Division play here Saturday night.
Megan Schroeder scored a game-high 16 points.
"Schroeder did a real nice job on the glass," Helix coach Dean Fouquette said. "She scored many of her points on putbacks."
Chyanne Hack dropped in 10 points and had a team-high nine rebounds.
Kylee Rogers contributed 10 points for the Grizzlies.
Addie Terjeson dished out nine of the team's 11 assists.
"Terjeson had a great game passing the ball," Fouquette said.
The win moves the Grizzlies conference record to 4-3 and into third place, one game behind second-place Ione.
Helix started the game on a 19-2 run to distance itself from the Honkers.
"Our press really bothered them in the first quarter," Fouquette said. "We also shot well early and passed the ball well.
"We called off the press after the first quarter and lost momentum from there. We really didn't play all that well the rest of the game. But we took care of business and played well enough to win."
The Grizzlies plays again Friday at home against Dufur at 6 p.m.
