Liberty Tax Service in Walla Walla is under new ownership.
After working for Liberty Tax for the past two seasons, Sharon Dodgin purchased the store last year. Bob Dodgin, Sharon's husband, is general manager/marketing director. There are 20 certified tax preparers and 15 Liberty wavers employed at Liberty offices this tax season.
The company offers refund anticipation loans, e-filing and direct deposit options, and also offers a VISA Net Spend card this year. Liberty Tax Service pays for customer referrals through the Send-A-Friend program. This tax season, all clients will be entered in a drawing to win a 50-inch plasma flat-screen TV. The winner's name will be drawn April 16and notified that day.
Liberty Tax is also a drop-off location for the Cell Phones for Soldiers organization that recycles used cell phones to provide calling cards for American troops. The office is a supporter of the March of Dimes, and is actively involved in the Haitian relief efforts through Stop Hunger Now.
Office hours during peak season are Monday - Friday 7 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday noon-9 p.m. After peak season the office will open at 9 a.m. The main office is at 688 W. Rose St. Other locations are 2200 East Isaacs, K-Mart Kiosk or 1410 Plaza Way, suite B, Ace Cash Kiosk.
