LETTERS TO THE EDITOR - Walmart a boon to those with low incomes

Regarding David Castlemans' letter.

I agree the octopus sign is a bit tawdry amongst the historical buildings.

If the store is so unique, why the sign?

The dig at Walmart, etc., I find very snobbish. These stores are a boon to low-income folks, especially in the recession and with layoffs.

Walmart's low prices have forced others to lower prices, also made less greediness.

Mr. Castleman should be proud that Walmart, the world's largest store, is American created and owned!
