MILTON-FREEWATER - La Grande's boys and Baker's girls were team winners here Friday during a four-way high school golf match at the Municipal Golf Course.
La Grande posted a 259 score on the boys side, well ahead of second-place Baker with 317. DeSales was third with 320 and Mac-Hi finished fourth with 346.
DeSales' Ryan Baumgart claimed medalist honors with a two-over-par 62. He was supported by teammates Bryce Scott (75), Ben Wolpert (91) Ben Miedema (92) and Andrew Hayunga (94).
"Ryan's playing really solid golf," DeSales coach Lon Olson said. "He's beginning to settle in."
Mac-Hi was led by a 73 stroked by Andrew Kain. T.J. Hinton followed with an 85, Tavis Sicocan shot 88, and Michael Miuer carded a 100.
Baker's Emily Smith was the girls medalist with a 91. The Bulldogs had a 189 team score.
La Grande was next with 194, DeSales was third with 203, and Mac-Hi did not have a team score.
DeSales was paced by Ashton Montgomery's 97, Alyssa Lyons added a 106 and Grace Burrows shot a non-counting 139.
Mac-Hi's only score was posted by Allison Varady - a 97.
DeSales hosts Liberty Christian, Dayton and Tri-Cities Prep at Veteran Memorial Golf Course on April 12.
