As part of the upcoming two-week residency with Marie Watt, Crow's Shadow Institute of the Arts will host two free events.
Artist Marie Watt (Seneca) will lead a free personal flag workshop, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The class will be open to all and especially recommended for children and families. Each participant will create a small personal flag using felt and other scrap fabrics.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunches. There are kitchen facilities available. Crow's Shadow will provide coffee, juice and some light snacks. Those interested in attending should register by calling 541-276-3954 or emailing email@example.com.
There will be an artist reception and gallery presentation at the Crow's Shadow gallery 5:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 11.
Visitors can meet Watt and check out her newest body of work. At 6 p.m. Watt will be giving a gallery talk regarding both her past and previous printmaking work at Crow's Shadow. Light refreshments will be available. For details, please call 541-276-3954.
