Walla Walla band Soul Status to perform at Hot Poop on Friday

Walla Walla pop rock band Soul Status will give a free performance at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Hot Poop in downtown Walla Walla.

This will be Soul Status' last public performance before some members move on to college. The local teenage band will releasd their first full-length album, "That's It Goodbye The End." The title of the album comes from the last line sung on the last song, lyricist Jonathan "Turkey Joe" Petri said.

All of the songs were written by Soul Status. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in Walla Walla from 2010 to 2011.

Soul Status is Jonathan Petri on vocals, bass and keyboard; Gabe Gonzales on vocals and guitar; Michael Pontarolo on guitar and mandolin; and Kyle Schleede on drums. All of the band members attended Walla Walla High School.
