Improv workshop planned at Power House Theatre

Walla Walla's Power House Theatre will host an Adult Improve Workshop Aug. 25 from 6:30-9 p.m.

Cost is $20 per person. Up to 20 people age 18 or older may register; RSVP's may be sent via e-mail by 9 a.m. Aug. 20 to Claire Slattery at

The workshop is designed to introduce the basic tenets of improvisation, as originated by Keith Johnstone, one of the few internationally recognized authorities on improvisational theatre. Participants will explore the basics of improv, namely: "saying yes," being obvious, and focusing on partners to tell stories and play as a group. The informal group exercises and games also can provide improv perspectives that can be applied participants' everyday lives.
