WALLA WALLA - Chip sealing season will begin this week.
Walla Walla County road crews will start chip sealing roads Wednesday and will continue through the end of July. Motorists can expect delays from five to 15 minutes in work areas.
In a release, Public Works Director Randy Glaeser said this year's emphasis will be roads in the urban growth area around Walla Walla. Work schedules may change due to weather.
Information about the chip sealing program is available under "road maintenance" under the Public Works section of the county's website at www.co.walla-walla.wa.us.
