DAYTON -- Businesses, organizations and individuals interested in participating in Columbia County's National Night Out can sign up now. Exhibitors and volunteers for running errands, crowd control and other assistance are needed.
Last year the event hosted 42 exhibits, with nearly 1,000 people attending.
The event will be held Aug. 2 from 5-8 p.m. at Dayton City Park.
To participate, contact event coordinator Tim Quigg at the Columbia County Public Safety Communications Center at 382-0911. Exhibitors should contact Quigg as soon as possible to reserve a spot as space is limited.
National Night Out is a crime and drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored locally by the Columbia County Friends of 9-1-1 and the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.
