The Home Loan Center is on the lookout for kids with talent.
For this weekend's Walla Walla Balloon Stampede activities, the mortgage lender is sponsoring a talent contest.
Preliminary judging for the "Walla Walla Kids Got Talent Contest" will be 3-5 p.m. Friday. The final competition will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Walla Walla County Fairgrounds. So far only a few kids have signed up.
Competition is open to children 12 and younger. All participants must be accompanied by an adult, and each must supply his or her own accompaniment. First-, second-, and third-place winners will be chosen.

Walla Walla's red wine stain remover is making it to the retail shelves of one of the Food Network's famed chefs.
Wine Away has been selected as an exclusive wine accessory offered at Tyler Florence's California retail kitchen store -- the Tyler Florence Shop. The shops are in Mill Valley, San Francisco and Napa Valley, said an announcement from Wine Away Vice President and Director of Marketing Cheryl Corn.
The product will also be available in Florence's "new concept" restaurants -- Tyler Florence Rotisserie amp; Wine in Napa Valley; The Empire Plush Room at Hotel Vertigo in San Francisco; Wayfare Tavern in San Francisco; and El Paseo in Mill Valley.
Florence has been featured on the Food Network for more than 15 years. He has starred in "How to Boil Water," "Food 911," and his signature series "Tyler's Ultimate" and has penned five best-selling cookbooks.
Wine Away, manufactured and distributed by Walla Walla-based Evergreen Labs, is sold in 18 countries.
Looks like the ATT retail shop that opened downtown a year ago has moved to College Place.
A sign on the Alder Street shop says it has moved to 1705 S.E. Meadowbrook Blvd. It is openat Meadowbrook Plaza across from Walmart.
