LETTERS TO THE EDITOR - Companies find ways to avoid accountability for their actions

So, the big oil-spillers can't be sued in the states they injured, but must use the federal courts, because the spills originated in federal jurisdiction. The companies deny accountability, blaming the bullet for what the gun did.

The judges into whose clutches the companies might fall had their clutches padded till soft and cozy, padded by those companies.
