$n$ Weston-McEwen wins fourth Blue Mountain Conference match

ATHENA - Weston-McEwen picked up its fourth Blue Mountain Conference volleyball victory of the season in three sets over Union here Thursday.

The TigerScots won 25-14, 25-20, 26-24.

"It was a good match," W-M coach Shawn White said. "We continue to improve. We're learning to play with a lot of focus. Union is usually a top 10 team, so to go out there and beat them in three was very good for us."

Taryn Coffman has 12 assists for the TigerScots, Molly von Borstel recorded 16 digs and eight kills, Taylor Rudolph eight digs and six kills, and Katy West four kills and four blocks.

Freshman middle hitter Marlene Bodmer put up six digs, a kill, three blocks and was 15-of-16 serving with four aces.

Jaymie Zimmerman tallied two aces, Melanie Sederburg two kills and two blocks, McKayla Carlin 23 digs, McKenzie Fuhrman was 5-of-5 serving and Dani Dearing had five digs.

The TigerScots, 12-4 overall and 4-0 in league play, host a double-dual against Irrigon and Pilot Rock at noon Saturday.
