Gerardo Jaimes-Perez, 35, 1148 W. Cherry St., was charged Aug. 15 with first-degree burglary — domestic violence, fourth-degree assault, and violation of protection order. Jaimes-Perez is accused of unlawfully entering or remaining in a building with the intent to commit a crime; assaulting a person; and violating a protection order, restraining order or no-contact order on June 26.
Ray E. Avera, 50, 602 Military St., was charged Aug. 16 with intimidating a public servant, harassment, driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, obstructing a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest. Avera is accused of threatening a Walla Walla County sheriff’s sergeant; knowingly and unlawfully threatening to kill or harassing the sergeant; driving under the influence; willfully hindering, delaying or obstructing a law enforcement officer; and intentionally preventing or attempting to prevent the sergeant from lawfully arresting him on Aug. 15.
