A company that specializes in ink and toner is working to make a mark on breast cancer awareness.
Cartridge World North America has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation on a two-month fundraiser for the cause.
Through September and October customers at the Walla Walla Cartridge World, 221 E. Main St., can donate to the foundation by “rounding up” their purchase to the next dollar and contributing the change they would have received. The goal of the “Round Up for Pink Ink” campaign is to reach $100,000. Cartridge World will also match the first $25,000 donated at its more than 1,600 franchised locations, according to its announcement.
The stores will also distribute information about National Breast Cancer Foundation programs, including details about early detection and awareness. Funds raised from the “Round Up For Pink Ink” campaign will be used to offer early detection services and support programs for breast cancer patients.
