Two local accounting firms have become one.

The partners from Thompson & Kreitzberg PLLC, CPAs have announced a merger with Jim Johnson & Company.

The combining of the offices took place last Saturday. The move will expand the client base at Thompson & Kreitzberg while helping Johnson as he spends more time in his role as Walla Walla County commissioner.

Over the next several weeks, Thompson & Kreitzberg will work with Johnson and staff on a smooth merger, according to an announcement from Kristal Hassler and Hal Thompson, certified public accountants and partners in the firm. Clients will be supported with Thompson & Kreitzberg’s suite of tax and accounting services, offered within the firm’s advanced online platform.

“It’s critical that clients don’t feel an interruption in service, and that they continue to receive the same level of support that they always have,” Johnson said in a prepared statement. “I partnered with Thompson & Kreitzberg for this reason. They have an excellent reputation in the community and a staff of seasoned experts. I know my clients will be well taken care of while I spend more time as a county commissioner.”

Thompson & Kreitzberg, 5 W. Alder St., suite 215, originally started in 1985, serving small businesses and individuals in Walla Walla and Moses Lake. For more details on services, visit tkcpa.com.
