Dinner will aid Walla Walla man


MILTON-FREEWATER — A benefit dinner for Nate Griffith will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Milton-Freewater Elks Club, 611 N. Main St.

There will be a chili-and-potato bar and homemade desserts. will be at the Milton-Freewater There will be door prizes and raffle items, including a Protomax model helicopter donated by Tony’s Hobby and Video in Milton-Freewater, gift certificates from local merchants and a Nikon camera. There will be a silent auction for two baseball caps autographed by Capt. Scott Campbell, of TV’s “Deadliest Catch” reality series.

Tickets are $7 a person. Donations will be accepted.

Griffith, 48, was diagnosed with lymphoma in September. Employed at Koncrete Industries he has been unable to work since then and is on the waiting list for a bone marrow transplant.
