Walla Walla’s nutrition club “To Your Health” will start the new year with “Healthy Happy Hours.”
The smoothie shop and total health center, which opened at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Rose Street last August, is adjusting its hours starting Jan. 9.
That’s when To Your Health will start its monthly group sessions about healthy food options, exercise, sample-tasting and more. From 4-6 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month guests can drop in to participate.
To Your Health owner Stevie Johnson, a longtime independent Herbalife distributor, started the health center with “the goal if improving the health and well-being of Valley residents,” according to an announcement.
The business, which operates 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, offers teas, smoothies and supplements; free wellness profiles and body analyses with a Tanita Ironman machine; weight-loss challenges; nutrition classes and more.
“I see this nutrition club as a positive and collaborative addition to the Walla Walla Valley,” Johnson said in the announcement. “We are so excited to get people on the path to better health and really see ourselves as a community resource as evidenced by our outreach efforts such as Helathy Happy Hours, Fit Camp, Couch to 5k and more.”
The next Weight Loss Challenge Class starts Jan. 7. The class will meet Mondays at 5:30 p.m. for 12 weeks. Discussions will be nutrition-based and will also feature a challenge that can result in money and prizes as well as loss of weight and inches. The cost is $39 per person. Of that, $10 is donated to Children’s Home Society of Walla Walla. The rest is returned to participants in the way of cash and prizes. Registration is available by calling 876-4595.
