PENDLETON - The Weston-McEwen boy's basketball team triumphed Saturday night in the Blue Mountain Conference district tournament, winning the District championship against Stanfield, 52-49.

Dallas Reich led the TigerScots with 18 points while teammate Riley Sederburg scored a double-double - 12 points and 12 rebounds.

"(Stanfield's) Devin Bailey averages 20 points a game, but we did good shutting him down tonight," W-M coach Brian Pickard said.

Bailey scored nine points during the game.

"We played a shorter team," Pickard said. "We took advantage and scored a lot of inside shots."

The TigerScots are 13-1 (18-5 overall) and play at home on Saturday in the first round of the state tournament; opponent and time TBA.
