Unity Church of Peace plans several events this week
WALLA WALLA - Unity Church of Peace, 810 C St., will host Pat Richmond speaking on "Mayan or Chinese Calendar - Your Choice," at 10 a.m. today.
Tuesday: Unity offers Meditation for Inner Harmony, 7 p.m.
Wednesday: A Burning Bowl Ceremony at 7 p.m. will replace negative thoughts with thoughts of love, forgiveness, and peace.
Friday: Centering prayer at noon, with 20 minutes of deep silence from 12:15-12:35 p.m.
Unity plans a two-session discussion of "The 4 Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. The first covers agreements 1 and 2. Agreements 3 and 4 will be covered Jan. 28. The book is available at Earthlight Books. Email email@example.com.
Pioneer United Methodist offers soup lunch Mondays

Touchet Valley Call to Prayer to take place on Wednesday
WAITSBURG - The first Touchet Valley Call to Prayer of 2012 will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church, 604 Main St. The Rev. Mike Ferians will lead.
The quarterly meetings are sponsored by the Touchet Valley Pastors Association.

Walk for Life to protest Roe v. Wade to take place Jan. 22
WALLA WALLA - Walk For Life, a prayer service and silent witness to protest the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision starts 1:30 a.m., Jan. 22. The walk begins at Amazing Grace Church of Nazarene, 717 E. Alder St. and proceeds to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 425 W. Alder St.
Beth Moore DVD Bible study ‘Loving Well' slated Jan. 27-28
WALLA WALLA - A women's weekend retreat featuring "Loving Well," a DVD Bible study by Beth Moore, will be presented by Christian Women of Walla Walla, 6-8:30 p.m. Jan. 27 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 28.
