FROM A WWPD PRESS RELEASE:
A 20 year old male was attacked by 3 alleged gang members Wednesday evening, shortly before midnight, after being confronted in the 200 block of East Birch Street. During the assault, the victim received a stab wound to his right shoulder. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where his condition is unknown at this time.
Earlier in the evening, the victim had been in the area of Chestnut and Chase, painting over gang graffiti that was on a street sign. He was confronted by several subjects who told him not to come into the neighborhood and paint over the graffiti. They left with his can of spray paint. It is not known if these were the same subjects who later attacked him.
