Walla Walla Highlife, a Seattle band with a new sound combining reggae, jazz, Latin, and Caribbean elements will play 7-9 p.m. Friday at Walla Faces, 216 E. Main St.
The seven musicians offer new, original songs with tuneful melodies, poetic lyrics and funky beats. They recently played at Seattle's Folklife Festival and will play at Bite of Seattle after their quick tour through Walla Walla and Moscow, Idaho.
The band includes Daniel Miller on lead vocals and guitar, Dillon Hughes on bass guitar and vocals, Randy Reed on percussion and vocals, Chava Mirel on keyboards and lead vocals, with Mikeli on drums, Tsuchui on trumpet and Kevin on trombone.
