Waitsburg-Prescott sweeps St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse Washtucna

ENDICOTT - Chance Leroue hammered a 2-run bomb in the top of the sixth inning to lead Waitsburg-Prescott in a 3-run rally to defeat St. John's-Endicott/LaCrosse-Washtucna by a single run, 3-2, Saturday in the front end of a Southeast 2B baseball doubleheader.

W-P had less trouble winning game two, powering to a 17-3, mercy-ruling over St. J-E/L-W.

Dalton Estes singled, stole second and was hit in by Zach Bartlow to complete the game-winning rally in the opener.

David Herzog, Chris Manzano, Bartlow, Chance Leroe and Estes all contributed three hits apiece in the night cap.

"It was really hit after hit in game two," W-P coach Dustin Snedigar said.

W-P (12-7 overall, 10-4 league) hosts a loser-out playoff game Tuesday at 4 p.m. against an opponent that has yet to be determined.
