The 2012 Baker Boyer Ducky Derby will host the Relay for Hope/Child Abuse Prevention 5K on May 19 at the annual duck race.
The run-and-walk is a family-friendly stroll along Mill Creek, according to organizers, and will begin at 8:30 a.m.
A kids' dash at 11:30 a.m. will kick off the Ducky Derby, and the free Family Fun Festival and Kid Olympics will take place from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The duck race splashes down at 2 p.m.
Participants can enter the relay as an individual or a team, made up of family members, friends or coworkers.
Entry fees are $15 for individuals, $25 for families and $10 per team member. Participants receive an event T-shirt and water bottle.
All proceeds support the Home Team program, a collaborative parent mentoring program of Children's Home Society of Washington and Walla Walla Exchange Club.
