On the heels of Halloween, the city of Dayton is preparing for an early Christmas.
The community will begin celebrating the winter holiday just after Thanksgiving with plans for a Christmas Kick-Off on Nov. 23 and 24.
Fireworks, hayrides, an appearance from Santa Claus, a lighted parade, wine tastings, a living nativity, art galleries and more are on the agenda in Dayton, dubbed “The Town That Still Believes.”
Mule-drawn hayrides, free historical tours of an 1880 Victorian home, pictures with Santa, make-and-take crafts for kids, live music and refreshments will be available at various downtown businesses. For more details on what’s in store, visit historicdayton.com.
