Photos taken with a smartphone?
O.K, all but one.
One was shot with the legendarily sharp Olympus Zuiko 250mm f/2 lens specially adapted and mounted on a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV camera body while the rest came from a Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone provided by the good folks at Inland Cellular.
Hard to tell a difference?
Cameras in phones have come a long way from being simple, small megapixel devices with painfully slow shutter lag to fast(er), competent cameras with exceptional optics.
Will they replace the rugged equipment I use daily? Maybe someday, but for now they’re different tools for different jobs.
And the differences keep getting smaller.
Answer: Photos 2,3 and 4 were taken with a Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone.
