WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla Sweets added depth to their pitching staff with the signings of Missouri State freshmen pitchers Jonathan Harris and Matt Hall.
Harris is a 6-foot, 4-inch, 160-pound right-hander who will head to Walla Walla with teammate Hall, a 6-foot 1-inch, 190-pound southpaw.
Harris, a native of St. Louis, was drafted in the 33rd round of the 2012 MLB Amateur Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays.
Hall, a native of Lee’s Summit, Mo., was a two-time all-state selection for Lee’s Summit West High, where he pitched and played first base.
The Missouri State Bears open their 2013 college season on Feb. 15, 2013, at Texas State.
The Walla Walla Sweets open their fourth season of West Coast League play in June of 2013, and season tickets go on sale next Thursday.
