Fair season isn’t over yet. The Columbia County Fair rides into Dayton this weekend with the theme, “A Treasure Chest of Columbia County’s Best”.
Friday’s feature event is the local amateur motorcycle races beginning at 6 p.m. in the arena. Live music will follow at 8 p.m. with DJ A.J. Walker on the midway stage.
Livestock judging and sale will start Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Saturday evening’s feature is the Jackpot Rodeo, which starts at 6 p.m. The Back Roads Band hits the midway stage Saturday at 8 p.m. Sunday features a demolition derby in the arena, which kicks off at noon.
Arts, crafts and food exhibits will be on display throughout the weekend in the pavilion, and animals will be shown in the fairgrounds barns. Kids can enjoy lots of activities on the midway.
Fair gates are open 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Passes are available at the Dayton Chamber of Commerce office at 166 E. Main St., or at the gate. For more information, call 509-382-4825.
