Wolves shut out by Pacific, 6-0

COLLEGE PLACE — Four first-half goals were more than enough for Pacific University during a 6-0 shutout of Walla Walla University in men’s collegiate soccer action Friday afternoon on the WWU campus.

The loss dropped the Wolves to 1-6 on the season. WWU has now lost five matches in a row.

Friday’s defeat marked the fifth time this season the Wolves have suffered a loss by shutout.

Grady Bryson got Pacific on the board in the sixth minute off an assist by Jorge Mandujano. Kody Ganico, Nick Rudella, and Quintin Love added tallies to the Pacific total before the halftime whistle.

Love booted an unassisted goal in the 53rd minute and Mark Wats closed out the scoring at 56:20.

The Boxers outshot WWU 20-5.

Marco Martinez had two of the Wolves’ five shots in the match.

WWU will be in Salem today for a 3 p.m. match with Willamette University.
