Author visits planned at Walla Walla Public Library

WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla Public Library will host several author visits this fall.

Storyteller Eva Abram will focus on African-American migration to the Northwest at 2 p.m. Sept. 29.

As part of the Walla Walla Reads program, Pulitzer Prize-winner Isabel Wilkerson will discuss “The Warmth of Other Suns,” about the epic African-American migration from the South to other parts of the country at 9 p.m. Oct. 1.

Six members of the Jack Straw Writers group will give a reading at 7 p.m. Oct. 5, which includes Kaia Chessen, Gabriela Denise Frank, Sally Neumann, Claudia Rowe, Nick Wong and Johanna Stoberock, all from the Northwest.

Northwest author Kim Barnes will speak about her new novel “In the Kingdom of Men” at 7 p.m. Nov. 1.
