DeSales falls to Tri-Cities Prep

PASCO — DeSales dropped a four-set Southeast 2B volleyball match to Tri-Cities Prep here Thursday night.

The Jaguars won the match 25-20, 23-25, 25-20, 25-17.

“I thought the girls played really great tonight,” Irish coach Hailee Cole said. “They continue to surprise me with how much they improve each match. We’ve played three really tough and talented teams in our league so far, so I’m really not concerned with our record.

“The girls are starting to step up, and I can’t wait to see the team continue to progress as the season goes along.”

Renee Roach led the Irish with eight assists, three aces, two digs, and she was 15-of-15 serving.

Brittany Lemons picked up two kills and a dig; Teresa Acock recorded 13 digs; Ashton Montgomery had a kill and three digs; Alyssa James smacked six kills, four aces, three digs, a block, and was 13-of-15 serving.

Claire Conley put up two kills, an ace, 12 digs, and was 18-of-19 serving; Hannah Leahy hit seven kills and came up with seven digs; Allesyn Lyons had two kills, 11 assists, an ace and three digs; and Allison Wujek had seven kills and 1.5 blocks.

DeSales, now 0-3 in SE2B play, hosts Dayton Tuesday.
