Walla Walla

The vehicle a 56-year-old woman was driving struck a bicyclist Wednesday after she failed to see the 12-year-old girl crossing the street. The teen escaped with minor injuries; her bicycle was crushed.

Graffiti reported in the Washington Park restroom.

A vehicle parked in a city parking lot near East Sumach and Spokane streets was reportedly egged, then sugar poured into the fuel tank.

Super One Foods employees apprehended an 18-year-old man they say shoplifted $2.56 worth of candy and jerky.

A woman reported her wallet, containing $50 cash, was stolen from a shopping cart at Rite Aid on Isaacs Avenue.

A rear-end non-injury collision near Myra Road and Poplar Street was reported Tuesday.

An arrest at gunpoint was made Thursday 7:43 p.m. at Taco Bell parking lot, 16 N. Ninth Ave. After following a vehicle that had a motorist suspected of driving with a suspended license, the driver pulled into the Taco Bell parking lot and quickly exited. Recognizing the suspect and believe him to be armed, the officer drew his pistol and made the arrest of Oscar Portales, 24. According to the report, Portales had a concealed and permit in his vehicle.

Walla Walla County

Two computers were reported stolen from a residence in the 1300 block of West Whitman Drive.

Mail theft reported in the 000 block of Sunny Lane, Touchet.

Two incidents of theft were reported at Walla Walla High School, 800 Abbott Road, on March 28. In one, a girl reported theft of her Kindle Fire computer tablet was stolen during her PE class. The device was not recovered. In the second, a boy reported his Nintendo DS taken from the upstairs area of the commons. Video surveillance was used to identify a suspect. The device was recovered.


Police arrested a 41-year-old man for disorderly conduct on Southeast Seventh Avenue.

Two vehicle rims and tires were reportedly stolen from a residence in Southeast 15th Avenue.
