CLARKSTON — Pomeroy took a pair of golfers to Quail Ridge for a round Thursday, with Pirate Teresa Meyers turning in her lowest score of her prep career to place second.

Meyers’ 86 trailed only St. John-Endicott’s Michal Schuster, who shot 80 on the par-71 course.

Pomeroy’s Tyson Feider was third overall with an 85.

Asotin’s Jon Easton medaled for the boys with a 77.

“It was good weather,” Pirates coach Jim Greene said. “They’d just punched and sanded the greens, so it was a good outing for the kids I took. It was a good day.”

Pomeroy hosts Asotin and Tekoa-Oakesdale-Rosalia at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crystal Springs Golf Course, and then plays in the DeSales Invite at Wine Valley Golf Club Tuesday.
