ONTARIO, Ore. — Ontario, the defending Class 4A baseball champion, overpowered McLoughlin High School Saturday, hammering four home runs in a 14-4 opener and winning a narrow 3-2 nightcap.

Mac-Hi falls to 1-5 in the Greater Oregon League after the doubleheader.

The Pioneers lost in walk-off style in the bottom of the seventh in game two to the Tigers.

The Pioneers were two outs away from winning the game.

Mac-Hi’s Chase Copenhaver pitched the complete game and struck out six.
