A new family-style restaurant has opened at Garden City Plaza.
Journeys Chow House opened Tuesday at 119 W. Alder St. in the spot formerly occupied by The Den Downtown Pizzeria.
According to the new business’s Facebook page, the eatery will serve lunch and dinner, including burgers, pizza, pasta and salads.
As a successor to The Den, which closed last month, Journeys Chow House will serve as anchor of the downtown Walla Walla retail space. Garden City Plaza is a hub of independent retailers that lease out small boutique spaces in the open-style marketplace. The restaurant and also Journeys PUB work in tandem with the shops to attract patrons who can eat, drink and find a mix of items from handmade soaps to western wear.
The owners of Journeys Chow House are Scooter and Jesse Johnston, who also own Journeys PUB. Listed hours for Journeys Chow House are 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information call 386-2586.
