Jennifer L. Aalbers, 37, Milton-Freewater, was sentenced Feb. 4 on one count third-degree assault, three counts violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act, one count second-degree organized retail theft, fourth-degree assault. The sentence included restitution to be determined, $200 in court costs, $156.20 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, 364 days in the county jail with 274 suspended, credit for 20 days served, 12 months community custody. On Dec. 28 Aalbers pleaded guilty to assaulting a security officer at Macy’s while trying to get away on Oct. 16; unlawfully possessing methamphetamine on Aug. 26 and on Oct. 16; assaulting another while he attempted to restrain her in under circumstances not amounting to assault in the first-, second-, third-degree assault on Oct. 16; taking property from more than one store in an amount over $750 between Aug. 25 and Oct. 16; unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia on Aug. 26.
Gerardo Jaimez-Perez, 36, 1148 W. Cherry St., was sentenced Feb. 4 on one count violation of a protection order — domestic violence. The sentence included restitution to be determined, $200 in court costs, $78.40 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 domestic violence assessment fee, 30 days in the county jail converted to 240 hours community service, 12 months probation. On Dec. 17 Jaimez-Perez pleaded guilty to knowingly violating a restraining order by coming within or knowingly remaining within a specific distance of a location and committed a crime against a family or household member on June 26.
