Coverage of estate tax proposal is urged

As a concerned, working, tax-paying, voting citizen of Washington state, I strongly oppose the HB 1494 — legislation calling for excessive taxation on property already taxed with income tax, or legally exempted, and being passed to anyone of my choice at my death (20 percent for $0 to $1 million and higher for more taxes). This is commonly called the estate tax.

News of this kind of legislation being introduced is of utmost importance to me and I would love to see it on the front page!

This is absolutely outrageous. They want to tax all estates less than one million at 20% and estates between one and two million at 28%. This will destroy small businesses, force others to move to another state, throw people out of work and deny beneficiaries of even the smallest estates their rightful inheritance. I know that the Progressive Democrats are intent on eliminating private property but this is ridiculous. Everyone should vote against this abomination.

With Obamacare you sell your home and the first bite off the top is 3.4% to the government and then comes the rest of the fees (realtor, filing fees, etc.) so your sale is almost nullified.
