WALLA WALLA — Hunter Hahn came off the bench to score a game-high 25 points Saturday night to lead Walla Walla Community College to an 86-72 victory over Wenatchee Valley in an NWAACC Eastern Region men’s basketball game at the Dietrich Dome.

The Warriors are now 6-5 in league and 12-11 overall.

WVC is 3-8 and 9-15.

The Warriors got off to a quick start, then withstood a second-half rally by the Knights, coach Jeff Reinland said.

“We got out to a 19-point lead at the start,” Reinland said. “It was about halfway through (the second half) and they cut it to 64-61. We rebuilt our lead and played well enough to win. That was about it.”

Case Rada added 19 points to the Warrior attack. Austin Nooner contributed 13 points, Dylan Radliff was next with 12 and Eric Harr scored 10 points.

“It wasn’t a horrible game, but we coasted after we got big leads,” Reinland said. “There were some lulls in our play.

“It wasn’t a stellar performance, but with only three games left, you’re just trying to get wins and move on,” Reinland said.

WWCC plays at Spokane Wednesday.
