A Walla Walla company known for its telecommunications services is expanding into security equipment.
PocketiNet Communications, the locally owned and operated broadband internet company, is now offering advanced home and business security systems, the company announced.
The service is anything but typical, President Todd Brandenburg explained.
PocketiNet Security serves as a digital hub for advanced features for the home and business, too. Those include energy management to control lights and thermostats; home automation that controls access to doors, lights and thermostats; video monitoring that captures live motion and image motion alerts; and the latest in wireless security.
The additional services have been in the works over the last year. Brandenburg’s own home was broken into, sparking the creation of what he believes is the perfect home security solution.
“The feeling that someone violated your home is very unsettling and thus we began to do research on security systems that would protect our family,” he explained in the announcement. “Through necessity we created a product that worked very well for our needs and noticed that it integrated well with advanced Internet technologies that we already offered at PocketiNet, so we decided to launch a new division of the company and offer these same advanced home security and automation services to the community.”
Through partnerships with Alarm.com and 2Gig, the features can all be brought together to a smartphone, too.
