Theft and vandalism reports were filed Wednesday and today, unless otherwise noted.

Thefts, Burglaries

WW Police

  • O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, 715 W. Poplar St. Attempted shoplift of an autobody scratch repair kit.
  • Blue Mountain Humane Society, 7 George St. Chocolate Labrador puppy reportedly stolen.

MF Police

  • 100 block of Northeast 13th Street. Watch reported stolen.

Umatilla County Sheriff

  • Wayside Market, Milton-Freewater. A motorist reportedly drove off without paying for $53.01 in fuel.


WW Police

  • Ninth Avenue and Paine Street, 9:25 p.m., Tuesday. A motorist struck two unoccupied, parked cars while trying to avoid a dog in the street: no injuries reported.

WW County Sheriff

  • 1900 block of J.B. George Road, 3:03 p.m., Sunday. One vehicle rollover: driver reportedly suffered a broken wrist. No medical transports.

Fire, Ambulance runs

CP Fire Dept.

  • Foreman Hall, Walla Walla University, 10:45 p.m., Wednesday. Fire crews responded to smoke alarm. Burnt food reported; no injuries.


WW County Sheriff

  • Northeast Spitzenberg Street. Parents rushed their 4-year-old daughter to the hospital after discovering the child chewing on a syringe their 8-year-old son found lying in the yard and brought into the house because he thought “it was cool.” No injuries were reported: neither of the children were punctured by the needle according to police.
