Politicians two-faced on gun control

The political duplicity displayed in firearms control will be part of our media climate for the foreseeable future since President Obama appointed his sidekick Joe Biden to study the issue.

Think back to a March 1981 scene when Ronald Reagan was shot near a D.C. hotel and a bunch of Uzi automatics in the hands of Secret Service men appeared within seconds. The politicians aren’t against guns used for their protection, but have a bit of heartburn when they are in the hands of anyone else.

How many of those Uzis were used to stop the assassination attempt?

The answer kurtfr, is no Uzis were used. None were fired, the gunman was tackled by several security types. Fortunately they were prepared to defend the President with adequate firepower for the immediate situation. Just like you and I should be able to defend ourselves with adequate means if the situation should ever present itself.

It is rather funny that all of these gun control activists have a small army of armed security surrounding them - imagine that!
