Information for Depression Recovery course set today
COLLEGE PLACE — SonBridge Community Center, 1200 S.E. 12th St., will offer an informational session about the course Depression Recovery at 3 p.m. today.
The eight-week course will focus on brain health and what a person can do to treat depression as well as healthy lifestyle habits to prevent depression; even for those with a genetic predisposition.
Barbie Dickerson will facilitate the course.

Vocal vespers to be sung at University Church Saturday
COLLEGE PLACE — Vocal vespers will be sung 4 p.m. Saturday at Walla Walla University Church, 212 S.W. Fourth St. The program of sacred vocal music performed by the students of Christine Janis, with readings presented by Sylvia Nosworthy.
Beth Moore Bible study to begin at First Presbyterian
WALLA WALLA — “A Woman’s Heart: God’s Dwelling Place,” a Beth Moore Bible Study will be starting at First Presbyterian Church, 25 2. First Ave., with two times and days to choose from.
The 10-week-long course will meet on Mondays at 9:30 a.m., starting Jan. 10 and Thursdays at 1 p.m., starting Jan. 14. Courses will meet in the church fellowship hall.
This video course explores the significance of the Old Testament tabernacle as the first structure designed to house the presence of God on earth. Where God dwells today is part of the study.
A suggested donation of $15 covers the cost of the home study book.
