Family Movie Night comes to Borleske

Ahoy, mateys and lasses: You’d be hornswaggling yourself if you miss Family Movie Night this weekend.

“The Pirates: Band of Misfits,” the second installment in Inland Cellular’s summer series, will be shown Saturday at Borleske Stadium.

The wireless communication company has partnered with the Downtown Walla Walla Foundation, Walla Walla Parks & Recreation Department, Walla Walla Public Library, Walla Walla Dental Group and the Walla Walla Sweets baseball team for the outdoor movie series.

The free PG-rated film should begin around 8:45 p.m. in the outfield at Borleske. Guests can begin arriving around 8 p.m. and are asked to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets for seating. Concessions will be offered for sale at the stadium. Dogs should stay home.

This month’s movie is a 2012 British-American 3D stop-motion animated adventure comedy about a pirate captain.

The summer films are shown in conjunction with the library’s “Read the Book, See the Movie” program. Readers can check out books related to the films before each is played.
